Methodology
How we score notetakers.
Every notetaker is rated on 11 dimensions, scored 0-5. We weight those dimensions based on what drives real-world fit, then normalize to a /100 score. Deal-breakers act as hard filters.
The 11 dimensions
| Dimension | Weight |
|---|---|
| Use case fit | ×3 |
| Differentiating features | ×3 |
| Security & compliance | ×3 |
| Pricing fit | ×3 |
| User experience | ×2 |
| Meeting platforms | ×2 |
| Integrations | ×2 |
| Language coverage | ×2 |
| Team size fit | ×2 |
| Volume capacity | ×1 |
| Deal-breakers | filter |
The formula
score = Σ (dimension_score × weight) / Σ (5 × weight) × 100
if any chosen deal-breaker has score ≤ 1:
score = 0 // tool is eliminatedScore bands
- 85–100 — Excellent match
- 70–84 — Good match
- 50–69 — Partial match
- 30–49 — Weak match
- 0–29 — Not recommended
Scores are reviewed monthly. Pricing and features change fast — we re-check the public docs and changelogs of every notetaker on the list.
